F6学习中遇到的问题

the due date of a reture is 12mths, the due date of CT payable is 9mths, 我想应该是RETURE之后才能PAY呀，怎么前者长于后者呢？
filing date 和中国的会计术语怎么对应？和中国的税款缴纳时间比起来，英国的时间太长了！我不太好理解。
请教！谢谢！
